LocoTV News
Lots of things have been happening at LocoTV since our "quiet launch" in November.
We'd like to welcome you to Version 3 of LocoTV, which marks the beginning of regular new programming of more than 10 TV series.
Our streaming will now be quite a great deal faster for some people, although others won't notice a huge difference. It will depend on your ISP.
We have also added mobile episodes so you can watch LocoTV shows on your phone or iPod.
Don't forget to use the Tell A Friend button to let your friends and colleagues know about your favourite shows on LocoTV as you watch them.

Filming begins in early June and it promises to be a great series with
John Hughes, ORE, Tourism WA and, of course, DriveWA.com all
involved.
LocoTV Hits 200,000 viewers! - 20-Apr-2009
Since beginning proper broadcasts only 10 weeks ago, LocoTV has reached its first goal of 200,000 shows viewed (even a little earlier than expected!).
We're now averaging over 30,000 plus shows viewed each week and that number is growing rapidly so we expect to hit half a million viewers by the end of June. Thanks for your support and expect more and more new programs to start flowing now.
LocoTV Viewer Numbers Explode! - 19-Mar-2009
Only 8 weeks ago, we launched LocoTV and had 4500 viewers the first week. We were pretty happy with that but growth has been phenomenal since then.
In fact, over the past 2 months our viewership has increased by more than 600%, peaking this week with 27,000 views of LocoTV shows! Well thank you. We’re glad our viewers are enjoying our shows and, in the words of the classics, “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet baby!”

LocoTV's new comedy series starts with a bang! - 05-Jan-2009
With our partner, Jesters Pies, we’ve now finished filming the first 6 heats of Live
at the Comedy Lounge. If you thought there were no funny comedians in Perth, well,
you’re wrong!
Our cameramen had to pick themselves up off the floor at times as the 100 plus crowd
at Rosie O’Grady’s went crazy for 18 top notch acts.
In addition to their standup, each comedian is judged on a sketch they’ve written, directed
and starred in. Frankly, they’re both stupid and hilarious.
You’ll see them competing for the Jesters Comedy Cup soon on LocoTV.
WA Tourism Council Partners Travel Shows - 05-Dec-2008
There’s Nothing to do in Perth!?! has been one of the most popular shows on LocoTV
so far and it’s about to get even better with the signing of the WA Tourism Council
as our partner in the series.
Football legend Graham Moss heads up the WATC and was a big factor driving forward
the concept into two parts – a local Perth series and a brand new statewide series.
“This is going to be the largest ever video database for tourism of any region on
the planet,” said LocoTV CEO Steve Correia. “Viewers will be able to search the
web for tourism and adventures in WA, then watch video from dozens and dozens of
operators throughout the whole of the state. It’s a world first.”
Both series will be launched at the annual WATC awards in late November.
WA’s First Standup Comedy Series … Ever! - 30-Nov-2008
Thanks to new series partner, Jesters Pies, LocoTV will be filming the first ever
WA based standup comedy series. 18 comedians will be competing for the Jesters Comedy
Cup over 6 heats, 2 semi-finals and a grand final.
Series producer Alex Blain said, “I’ve been working hard to get a WA comedy series
up and running from the first days of discussing the LocoTV project and it’s very
satisfying to be going into production so soon.”
Filming begins in early December, in conjunction with John McAlister from The Comedy
Lounge, and the first episodes are to be shown not long after that.
LocoTV Partners with LeisureCat - 13-Nov-2008
13 more episodes of How To Catch A Fish and Local Fishing Legends are underway with
our new series partner, Leisurecat.
Steve Correia, LocoTV’s CEO said, “It’s extremely exciting to have as association
with a boat as good as this one. Not only are they a WA company, Leisurecat sets
the bar for fishing boats that can handle any conditions and it allows us to plan
some amazing shoots for our fishing fans to enjoy.”
Being launched in the new series will be Leisurecat’s revolutionary new 6m Cuddy
Cabin that will break new ground in value and performance. “Shore based anglers
shouldn’t worry,” Steve said. “There will still be as much land based fishing as
boat based fishing in the new series.”
Current episodes will be available as mobile phone and iPod downloads soon.
