Mandurah is now less than an hour away from Perth and, thanks to the new freeway and rail link to the city, it’s even easier to get there than before. In this episode, we visit Mandurah for Christmas, taking in some of the award winning tours and destinations crammed into one of Australia’s best holiday locations.
We start with Steve showing you exactly where and how to catch the famous Mandurah blue manna crabs. There’s nothing sweeter and he’ll take all the mystery out of finding them in the Peel Inlet. We’ll walk through the Mandjar Markets and take a dolphin cruise to get up close and personal with everyone’s favourite watery mammal, before dining at the award winning Café Pronto.
As night approaches, you’ll get to see Mandurah’s famous “Canal Christmas Lights”, a brilliant show that stretches for miles along the waterfront. But it doesn’t stop there!
Peel Zoo is a hands on experience where you can hold snakes, quolls, possums, Bengal cats and more. It’s one of most unique zoos in the world and you’ll really enjoy the walk through. We’ll also look at some great places to stay, including the Silver Sands Resort and a houseboat, plus we’ll take in the history of Mandurah at the museum.
There’s nothing like Mandurah at Christmas.
